Blink and you’ll miss it…

In 7 days Black History Month will be over.  It’s amazing how quickly February comes and goes.  

The Oscars are tomorrow night and for the first time in a long time I could really care less.  (Of course, I’ll have a recap of The Haute and the Not for you)

Here’s a fabulous tribute I came across highlighting some of the best African American actresses from then and now.

Speaking of SATC, have we been watching Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia? I sure have. I must say they’ve really groomed Lucy Lui’s character, Mia Mason, to be the new Carrie Bradshaw. Her wardrobe makes me sick. Sick with envy. If my closet were filled with her garments you couldn’t tell me nothing. I would be so divalicious, I’d probably lose some friends. I’d have to be to pull off some of her looks, as unrealistic as they are.

(Note: not the best examples I could find, but it’s better than nothing!)

I’m digging the shows. They have the same concept: Successful women with mo’ money and mo’ problems. ( I wonder what that’s like? Hmmm…)

CM is the fun, fast-paced, visual smörgasbord of the two. LJ is more refined, sexy, and dramatic. They both serve their purpose: keeping me entertained…one hour at a time.
